Honest 03:54
VERSE 1 One day we’ll finally be honest One day we’ll take of the masks One day, despite stolen breadcrumbs, we’ll find home again VERSE 2 One day we’ll strip ourselves naked And plant tiny Edens of truth One day will spring up the message that there’s nothing to prove CHORUS 1 And we’ll let go.. VERSE 3 ’Til then we take an inventory of every childhood pain ’Til then we make necessary the abolition of slavery to blame CHORUS 2 And we let go.. END TAG Oh we fight the disease of resentment (Echo: and we let go, let go) Oh we fight to be healed where we’re wounded (Echo: let go, let go) Oh, we fight to redeem memories (Echo: and we let go, let go) Oh we fight for our freedom in honest In honest In honest In honest In honest Let go..

Arrow 04:39
Verse 1 Since I was young with wide-eyed wonder, I wondered With throbbing heart that beat out questions like thunder Oh what is this longing for more I hold? Longing rocks my very soul Pre It carries on with each blushing daybreak It carries on as the night winds slow fade Chorus Oh my heart is an arrow Oh my heart is an arrow Oh my heart is an arrow Pointing right to You Pointing right to You Verse 2 His hand to hold, a butterfly as he moves close Are only shadows of a mystery I long to know Oh what is this longing for love I hold? Longing rocks me to the bone Pre It carries on though my wild young heart breaks It carries on through my fiercest mistakes Chorus Oh my heart is an arrow Oh my heart is an arrow Oh my heart is an arrow Pointing right to You Pointing right to You Bridge Sunrise and pink horizons Romance me like a silly child My heart is a love letter Sent from the One who paints the sky Chorus Oh my heart is an arrow Oh my heart is an arrow Oh my heart is an arrow Oh my heart is an arrow Oh my heart is an arrow Pointing right to You Pointing right to You

Desert 04:41
Verse 1: Thought I could go it alone, thought I could be different But I'm just another soul that's walkin' vacant I'm just a barren bucket at a well I beg you, don't leave me empty Verse 2: Life has a bitter ring, it leaves me fractured Far more than I could ever imagine Just when my heart is full, water slips through a crack and slow leaks until it's empty Chorus: I walk a desert road Come with eyes that carry life And oh Lord, give me sweet water That will never run dry Verse 3: Be still my busy bones 'cause every hour Is simply a mocking man screaming as you wither Linger in River Rest, you've outdrawn yourself again I beg you, don't leave here empty Chorus: I walk a desert road Come with eyes that carry life And oh Lord, give me sweet water That will never run dry Bridge: Yes I confess that the hurry kills me It drains me blind to Your beauty It makes me numb to Your arms of mercy It makes me look like a madman Come with rest 'cause the hurry kills me It drains me blind to Your beauty It makes me numb to Your arms of mercy It makes look like a madman And makes You look like mirages Chorus: I walk a desert road Come with eyes that carry life And oh Lord, give me sweet water That will never run dry End Tag: Just give me a little more water

Hemorrhage 04:02
Verse1: My mate, my soul, How well you tease me Crush all my bones with your heart's beauty Your infinite woes are now mine to carry Cracks all over our home but we rest here deeply Chorus 1: When we first started out, we bled easy So we'd try to run before any carnage But we are older now, and we fly easy Since we've learned that love is balm for the hemorrhage Verse 2: Remember all the wars, how much they'd tempt me to trample your doors, to leave you empty? But funny how life goes I'd call you the foe, the wretched man Then somehow I'd lose my throat Halfway down my own broke road to blame, to blame Chorus 2: When we first started out, we bled easy So we'd try to run before any carnage But we are older now, and we fly easy Since we've learned that love is balm for the hemorrhage Interlude: Chorus 3: When we first started out, we bled easy So we learned to run before any carnage, oh But we are older now, and we fly, we fly easy my love, we fly easy my love, we fly Chorus 4: When we first started out, we bled easy So we'd try to run before any carnage But we are older now, and we fly easy Since we've learned that love is balm for the hemorrhage Learned that love is balm for the hemorrhage

Strong Arms 03:23
Oooo Oooo VERSE 1: If I let go of me, will You hold me still? Calm the swelling sea and the storm within what feels like reckoning VERSE 2: If I let me rest, will you stay awake? Calm my very breath with a single phrase "My love, I'll keep you safe" CHORUS When I am wanting When my body is weaker than it's ever been I'm found in strong arms When I am daunted When my years are like violent unravelling I'm found in strong arms Oooo Oooo VERSE 3 Will You stay a friend if I forget to call? I’ve got good intent behind all this foggy dampness in my head CHORUS When I am wanting When my body is weaker than it's ever been I'm found in strong arms When I am daunted When my years feel like violent unravelling I'm found in strong, strong Oooo Oooo

Petrichor 04:50
Verse 1 What will it smell like after the rains? What will it smell like after the rains? It’ll smell like storms of yesterday Like rusty galvanize Like new and flooded plains Like dancing in puddles Chorus Oh Petrichor Oh Petrichor Yeshua, Yeshua will take you over Verse 3 What will it smell like after the rains? What will it smell like after the rains? It’ll smell like roots now grown down deep Turned into trees planted by streams It’ll smell like houses built on rocks The ones that no storm can tear down Chorus Oh Petrichor Oh Petrichor Yeshua, Yeshua will take you over End Tag Yeshua Yeshua Yeshua Yeshua Yeshua Yeshua…that’s what I’ll smell like Yeshua, ooh That’s what I’ll smell like

Verse 1 Meet me by the harbour by the shoreline Meet me with a sweater and chamomile Your hands are all creviced, your hair winter But your eyes they hold stories of days younger Chorus When our love was like summer, summer days Our love was like summer, summer days When our love was like summer, summer days Our love was like summer, summer days Verse 2 Meet me with a lantern carved in a spoon That's glazed by a potter and painted blue Like that feather brooch that I borrowed from mamma On our wedding day, for my wedding veil Chorus When our love was like summer, summer days Our love was like summer, summer days When our love was like summer, summer days Our love was like summer, summer days Bridge When hospital rooms whisper of numbered days And breath is a kite-tail that’ll soon get away We will sit as the street musicians play our song Of raspberry lovers, of days long And when death comes like winter Still our love will be summer Yes our love is like summer Chorus Yes our love is like summer, summer days Our love is like summer, summer days Our love is like summer, summer days Our love is like summer, summer days End Tag Our love is gelatos on Granville Island Our love is the seagulls on the cobblestone Our love is a ring ‘cause no man's an island Our love is your knees on the cobblestone Yes our love is like summer, summer days Our love is like summer, summer days Our love is like summer, summer days Our love is like summer, summer days

about

I’ve spent a lot of time being afraid to be honest. I was just as fearful about being seen as perfect as I was about being imperfect. But I’ve been learning how to be a little more human and how to brave vulnerability for the sake of love. Exposure, heart intimacy…the right kind of nakedness can be healing for the soul. Bare & Bones is a collection of 10 honest songs that gives a heart language to be honest in love, in faith and with itself.

Candace Coker Music Trinidad and Tobago

Candace Coker is a Trinidad-born artist who brings an evocative blend of poetry, gospel and musicality to the world of alternative-folk. Her sound carries with it a jazzy softness and a neo-soul grit, which she attributes to her love for the 1940s, as well as her Afro-Caribbean roots.

Her music is a call to experience life poetically, to revel in beauty and to chase the 'more' of life.
